Call for Projects "Research" 2025

TYPES OF PROJECT

• Innovative & collaborative project in biological or medical imaging

   

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Theme
  • Projects in line with the scientific priorities of the Institut Marseille Imaging, focusing on biological or medical imaging.
• Co-design
  • Projects involving at least 2 laboratories/units belonging to the Institut Marseille Imaging (see list on the form).
• The project leader
  • Member of the Research units attached to the Marseille Imaging Institute.
  • New permanent staff and/or post-docs are strongly encouraged to apply, as well as members presenting new lines of research.
  • Special conditions: must not have been an awardee in the last 2 calls (either 2022 or 2023).

ELIGIBLE EXPENSES

Funding will be approximately €25k per project.

Important: expenses must be allocated to institutional expenses (amU) in accordance with AMIDEX budgetary rules, according to the following breakdown:

• Equipment expenses:
  • equipment costing between 800 and 5,000 euros
  • See Call for projects "Platform 2025" for more expensive equipment.
  • The purchase of computer equipment will be subject to prior approval.
• Operating expenses: consumables, missions, etc.
• Salary-related expenses: the duration will be adjusted according to the loaded cost.

Comment: the project sponsor must detail the budget planning according to expenditure by mass (Operating, Investment and Payroll) and by year (2025 and 2026) , with reference to the AMIDEX financial regulations, and undertakes to respect them.Please contact us as soon as possible to verify the costs announced.

EVALUATION

• Innovative character, potential leverage towards larger projects (ANR/European) and technological valorization will be important factors.

CONDITIONS OF COMMITMENT

• FUNDING
  • Projects are planned to run for 12 months. The budget must be distributed over the calendar years 2025 and 2026 as closely as possible to reality. Expenditure must take place before September 30, 2026, with no deferral possible.
  • Expenditure must be in line with the expenses listed and justified by the project leader at the time of submission.
• IMPACT AND PROMOTION
  • The project sponsor undertakes to respond to any requests from the Marseille Imaging Institute concerning the impact of project funding.
  • Publications must be deposited in the A*Midex HAL AMU collection, the University's open archive.

All publications and scientific communications related to the project and supported by the Marseille Imaging Institute must mention the following sentence in the acknowledgements:

"This work was supported by the French government as part of the France 2030 investment plan, as part of the Aix-Marseille Université - A*MIDEX Excellence Initiative (AMX-19-IET-002)".
