Our ecosystem

The Marseille imaging institute relies on research teams within 25 laboratories and connects around 820 staff from Aix Marseille Université, the Centrale Marseille, the CNRS, the INSERM (French national institute for health and medical research), and also the Centrale Méditerranée, AP-HM, CEA, IPC.

Our research initiatives

The Marseille imaging institute offers a range of initiatives that benefit the researchers, teacher-researchers, engineers and (post)doctoral students in its laboratories: help with structuring and funding innovative inter-laboratory research projects (see our Research call for projects), support for imaging platforms (see our Platform call for projects), scientific events, coordination of purchases of outstanding equipment.

Magali IRLA
Director of Research at CIML (Marseille-Luminy Immunology Center)

With Arnauld Sergé, teacher-researcher at the LAI (Adhesion and Inflammation Laboratory), we are coordinators of the RANKnanodyn project, an awardee of the AAP "Research 2022", which focuses on the molecular dynamics of the immunological synapse during leukemogenesis using videonanoscopy. Incentive support from Marseille Imaging enabled us to successfully apply for the AAP ITMO Cancer Aviesan PCSI, and INCA PLBIO, currently in progress. A review and an article are currently being written.
