Incentive action

As part of the A*MIDEX Interdisciplinarity AAP, the "Marseille Imaging" institute will promote the emergence of projects in data science, instrumentation and application fields in the following scientific areas:

  • Ultimate imaging
  • Imaging therapy
  • Emerging and breakthrough techniques
  • Imaging for the greatest number

Projects will undergo a double selection process:

  1. The Marseille Imaging Institute will pre-select a maximum of 3 projects, ranked in order of priority.
  2. The selected projects will then have to submit a complete application via a form to the following address before February 28, 2022: here

The total budget allocated to the Marseille Imaging Institute by A*MIDEX will be 300 k€.

TYPES OF PROJECT

  • Projects must be in line with scientific priorities,
  • Promote interdisciplinarity
  • Develop/structure interdisciplinary research and training activities within the Institute.

Evaluation

  • Criteria determining evaluation. :
  • Ability to manage and administer the project
  • Interdisciplinary nature: involve at least two disciplinary fields
  • Innovative character
  • Feasibility of project implementation
  • Budget and timetable: compliance with the AAP guidelines and suitability for the project.
  • Impact and spin-offs of the project: potential contributions and impacts on national, European and Internationally programs.

  • Specificinvestments in research equipment are eligible up to a limit of 20% of the total amount of funding allocated. Eligible capital expenditure concerns only equipment specific to the project, and excludes any recurring or standard expenditure by a Research unit(IT equipment linked solely to project execution).

Expenditure by non-permanent research staff is eligible, with the exception of PhD students.
Office automation expenses are not eligible.

Expenditure items must be eligible in accordance with the A*MIDEX allocation rules. Assistance from AMIDEX funding, available in the procedures guide.

DOCUMENTS

  • Project sponsors must send the selection form to the IMAGING Institute before January 03, 2022.

CONDITIONS OF ENGAGEMENT

RECOGNITION : All publications and scientific communications that have benefited from financial support from the Marseille Imaging Institute must mention the following sentence:
"This work has received support from the French government as part of the France 2030 investment plan, as part of the Aix-Marseille Université - A*MIDEX Excellence Initiative (AMX-19-IET-002) ".

Publications must be deposited in the A*Midex HAL AMU collection, the University's open archive.
