Call for projects - Young Researcher for Imaging
Visibility within the Biomedical Imaging Institute's Research units
Marseille Imaging Institute is launching its "Young Researcher 2024" call for projects to promote excellence at Aix-Marseille Université, boost applications for permanent positions, bring in new skills and facilitate the initiation of research by young researchers working on imaging themes (data science, instrumentation and fields of application) in the following scientific fields: :
- Ultimate imaging
- Imaging therapy
- Breakthrough and innovative techniques
- Imaging for all
Themes
- Biological or medical imaging in the Institute's scientific fields
- Impacting and innovative project for biological or medical imaging on the Marseille site.
Who should apply?
- Newly arrived young researchers
Conditions
- Either the applicant :
- is a young researcher (< 6 years maximum post-doctorate)
- with a permanent position
- has recently joined (< 2 years) a laboratory/unit* member of the Institute
- Or the candidate :
- is a young researcher (< 6 years maximum post-doctorate)
- in a post-doctoral position
- who wish to apply for a permanent position in a laboratory/unit* member of the Institute.
Funding
- Maximum 15,000 euros/applicant
- Budget to be used by end of November 2025
- comply with the expenses listed in the application form
- an oral presentation at the Scientific Day (2026)
- submit an activity report
- Respond to the Institute's requests to fill in questionnaires in order to collect indicators for evaluating the action.

- Operation: consumables, small laboratory equipment and valorization

- Curriculum vitae of mobility candidate
- Letter of invitation from the host laboratory to support/justify the application
